Just checking it out...

Titus was taking a Romp (OOC: Every time I try to say romp I have to go back and spell it again because I accidentally spell "Rompy"!) around the city and found the Distant Church.
He remembered Sahara telling him about it, but he thought to himself that he wanted to check it out. And so, he did. Titus entered the Church, wondering what he'd find. His tail started wagging as it does when he's happy, curious and excited.

He started sniffing at the Archways and got jumped because of a Rat's "Squeal". Then after a few minutes, he saw a cat and was unsure of what to think. He backed up a little bit and stopped wagging his tail. Then there was one... two, three, four... five cats?
Titus backed up and tried to run out of the church as he was scared and didn't know what to do. He had never came in contact with a Cat before and could tell by their looks that they weren't happy he was there.

Unfortunately, the entrance was blocked by a few other cats. He was even MORE scared now that he couldn't find a way out. All of the sudden, he noticed all of the cats start creeping towards him and cornering him against one wall.
He wasn't hurt or anything (they hadn't even laid a paw on him yet), but he yelped as if he was in pain to see if any other dog would hear him. He was very vulnerable, considering he's only ONE little puppy (not that little for a puppy, but little compared to a dog).

And he just kept on yelping and squealing. He was really scared.

Mist carefully padded up behind Titus. She looked at the cats. "Scram! You mangy looking rats!" she said in a loud bark. Her fur bristled angrily, as her tail swooshed side to side, burning in anger. She wasn't scared of these mangy felines. She was four times there size. She stood over Titus, trying to protect him from the cats.

ooc: are you going to rp the cats too?

One of the cats growled and hissed at her and ran off. The rest of the cat's followed - I suppose it was the leader.

Titus curled up in a little ball in the corner. "Thank you?" he said in a very small voice. Titus was still shaking from the fright of the cats. He got up out of his ball and looked at mist. "Thank you... so much!" Titus said, jumping and squealing happily.

Mist smiled, "So...what are oyu doing here all alone? You do know it's dangerous right?!" she told Titus calmly. She didn't want to loose her calm. Her white fur lied flat as her gentle blue eyes stared at the pup. Her tail quit swinging side to side, as she sat down.

Titus put his thinking face on, "Well, my mentor, Sahara, told me about this place. She did tell me that it was dangerous and "spooky", but when I was talking a stroll around town, I saw this place out of the corner of my eye. I remembered what she had said, but I thought she was over exaggerating, so I decided to check it out myself, and that's when I noticed all of those cats..." Titus said, trying to hide his face shyly and his tail flew up and down - not back and forth/from side to side.

Mist looked at the apprentice and smiled, "Well then, come on!" she barked happile as she jumped through a broken window. She landed neatly inside, then looked out the window. She sat still, patiently waiting for Titus. Her tail thumped the ground, as her eyes glittered with happiness. She felt like an apprentice again!

Titus' tail started wagging and a smile grew large on his face, "Alright!" Titus said as he started running towards the window. When he got to the window, he slowly backed up and charged towards it, then jumped through it... and landed on his bottom.

"That was fun!" He said, staring at her with his big pale green eyes.
"Thank you so much - will you take me home?" He said with another smile.

Mist smiled, "If you want. We just came inside, so we'll take a short-cut." she informed the apprentice as she padded along the church floor. Her paws, not making a sound, kept moving. When tey where in the middle of the church, they ran into another big, broken window. She crouched down, leaped, and landed easiy on the other side. She shook her long glimmery white fur, as her gentle, but shining blue eyes stared at the window. She sat down on the outside, waiting for Titus.

Just then she heard something rustling inside a bush. Her fur prickled. She scented the air. HUMANS! "Titus hurry!" she barked quickly. She heard twigs snapping under the humans big back paws. Her ears twitched uneasily, Come on Titus! she thought eagerly to herself.

Titus was jumped at the sound of the twigs and was very scared. Titus jumped through the window, luckily more gracefully than last time, and ran next to Mist.

"What's happening?" He said while running, with the wind blowing on his fur and looked at her sadly with his green eyes.

"HUMANS!" she replied to the pup. Her white fur turning brown from the dust they had been kicking up. Her gentle blue eyes were now gray from how scared she was. What if she get Titus caught? What if she got herself caught? She shook her headandkept running, looking bac every so often to mak sure Titus was behind her. When they made it to a two turn red rocky road, she pushed Titus to the left, making him go faster. Then she ran behind him. After a couple minutes, she stopped running. Breahing heavily, she trotted over to Titus, "Are you ok?" she aked the apprentice.

“Yeah, I’m alright” he said, huffing and lying down on the ground to take a breather.
“Why were those humans after us?” Said Titus, still heavily breathing and also covered in dirt.
The wind was blowing in his fur which was helping getting rid of the dirt, but it wasn’t’ helping THAT much…

Mist sighed, "They are humans. Do they really need a reason?"
Then she sighed. "They take us to this place called a pound. They lock up dogs and put them to sleep. And by sleep, I mean that they make them die..." she drifted off.

Titus backed up a little and got up off of the ground, "But, but, why? Why would they do those things? What did we ever do to them?" he asked and cowered into the corner of a building they were standing by.

"I...I...I don't really know Titus. But come on, let's head back." she told the pup warmly as she pushed her muzzle under his stomach to help him stand. Then she padded in the direction of the gang, with Titus right beside her.

Titus got up and thanked her for the help up. Then he padded beside her closely.
"So..., do you think there will ever be an explanation?" he asked her softly.
